There used to be people and cultures in Greece before people named Greeks moved into the region. Some of those known as the people of the sea who attacked the Egyptian Empire in the eastern Mediterranean area came from the land of Greece. Some of those people were allowed to settle in Egyptian territory near the eastern end of the Mediterranean and also known as Philistines. Since ancient times, Greece agriculture was based on the trinity. Their natural constraints, production proved to satisfy demand. In ancient Era, land was kept together by aristocracy. The word economy means rules in a household. They did not think about the word economy as a whole, it was hard to talk of a government economic policy. Most Greeks were soldiers for their city-state, that conquered other cities and were forced to pay tribute. Lots of Greek sailors worked as mercenaries, hiring out themselves and ships to fight for other countries like Egypt.
